Find the name you gave the Game Capture and give the same hotkey in: Capture foreground window / Deactivate Capture. Now open up any game Project64 and once the game is running hit the Hotkey and it should show up in OBS, same will work on any PC Games too. Last edited: Oct 31, Y. Jun 26,  · From what I’ve seen, capturing from a window (unsure about fullscreen) with OBS is extremely inconsistent, at least on Project64 It works only with OBS’s game capture source mode, and even then is very spotty. It works well for a bit, but soon the output breaks completely and only a small portion is actually caught by OBS.

From what I’ve seen, capturing from a window unsure about fullscreen with OBS is extremely inconsistent, at least on Project64 2. It works only with OBS’s game capture source mode, and even then is very spotty. It works well for a bit, but soon the output breaks completely and only a small portion is actually caught by OBS.

This has a few exceptions, however. One way to work around it is to turn on either bloom or gamma correction override. These both fix the output to be usable by OBS, but are not ideal because they may look different. These, again, are not ideal because they also alter the image. Another exception was when the game was paused or there were certain framebuffer effects.

Please note that, although I used Majora’s Mask Randomizer, the issues occur on the original game as well, and likely on other games. I’ve made a video showing the issue here. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:. I have a workaround for games that don’t play nice with OBS that might work for you. You can use Dxtory to capture and have it send to OBS. Find the size of the window here:.

Open the DirectShow settings here:. Change the settings to match:. In OBS, add a video device:. There will be four labelled Dxtory video that correspond to the four tabs on the Dxtory DirectShow settings. Looks like the application uses latest viewport parameters, set by the plugin. OSD drawing changes viewport to full frame, thus it fixes captured picture. I’ll check that hypothesis. If it is true, it not hard to fix. I’ve found that in Project 64, switching between fullscreen and windowed a few times can make this recur, at least with Afterburner.

Capturing mostly works, but there are moments when it works incorrect and I don’t know why. For example, it does not work properly when game has aspect and I’m trying to capture it in fullscreen. Skip to content. New issue. Jump to bottom. Copy link. I’ve made a video showing the issue here Edit: Also note that this of course does not show up on the actual game window. It would be nice if this could be fixed, since Afterburner video recording is broken, too.

Yes, it is viewport. I’ll publish the fix soon. Set fullscreen scissor at the end of FrameBufferList::renderBuffer …. Fixed clipped screen issue with OBS studio, Can it be closed Not yet. I found another issue with OBS capture. Still broken in 3. Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub. Already have an account?
